Ghandruk

Ghandruk is a beautiful mountain village inside the Annapurna Conservation area. This village is inhabited by Gurung, one of the major ethnic groups of Nepal. This village is located at an altitude of 2010 meters/ 6600 feet northwest of Pokhara. It is claimed that Ghandruk is the most visited village in Nepal. It is widely known among international and domestic visitors.

Ghandruk Village offers the panoramic Himalayan views including Dhaulagiri 8167m, Nilgiri 7041m, Fishtail/Machhapuchhare 6998m, Annapurna I 8091m, Annapurna II 7939m, Annapurna III7555m, Annapurna IV 7525m, Annapurna south 7219m, Hiunchuli 6441m, Lamjung Himal 6986m, and more.

Ghandruk is the second-largest settlement of Gurung people, one of the indigenous groups in Nepal. In this village, about 270 Gurung families are staying in a charming cluster of slate-roofed houses surrounded by neatly terraced fields. They have also opened their own cultural museum.

Itineray
Day1

Kathmandu-Pokhara

Drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara (220kms) takes about 7 hours.A typical Nepali lunch will be provided on the way. Pokhara is tourist's paradise with full of natural as well as cultural heritage sites such as lakes, caves, temples of Buddhist and Hindus along with mountains. You can observe views to the north across the hills and Phewa Tal (lake) to the white peaks of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges. Evening dinner/Overnight stay at the hotel.

 

 

 

Day 2                                                       

 

Drive to Ghandruk (1950m)

Morning we will visit Tal Bahari Temple. We will get back to the hotel and will serve you with the breakfast and make a departure for Ghandruk. Reaching Ghandruk we will serve you with the typical Thakali Nepali Lunch. We will make a short hike to Old Gurung Village and explore Gurung Community. Enjoy the evening with a sunset view and enjoy the campfire in the hotel. You will receive a Thakali Nepali Khana Set at the dinner. Overnight in Ghandruk.

Day 3

 

Ghandruk-Pokhara

We observe the early morning sunrise from Ghandruk. The golden rays of the sun falling upon the silver mountains are an incredible sight. We will Explore Ghandruk, and the second largest Gurung village of Nepal.After having breakfast, we will descend back to Nayapul passing through terraced farmed hills and unique village settlements. we decend down to Nayapul, following the Modi River and a short drive to Pokhara. We wii visit Sarangkot,which lies on the way. Reaching Pokhara we will have lunch.We will explore some touristic spot of Pokhara (Peace Pagoda, David falls, Gueptshowor Cave). You can explore the local street in the evening. we will serve you with the dinner and will have overnight at the hotel.

Day 4

 

Pokhara-Kathmandu

Today is the last day of our trip. Morning breakfast at the hotel. We will check Check out of the hotel and make departure to Kathmandu followed by a lunch on the way.
