Kalinchwok
Kalinchowk is a village development committee in Dolakha District in the Janakpur Zone of north-eastern Nepal. The highest trek able point of this trail stands at Kalinchowk Temple with the elevation of 3800 meters above the sea level. The temple is duly sacred to Hindu devotees and is believed to be adobe of Goddess Kali, a vicious manifestation of Hindu Goddess Durga.
The beguiling Himalayan panorama from the temple is simply eye-popping. You will be relishing the vista of mountains like Lamjung, Manaslu, Ganesh, Shisha Panga, Langtang, Dorje Lakpa, Jugal, Gauri Shankar and many more. As you trek through the region, you will find it immensely blessed with exceptional geographical appearance. Kalinchowk is known as the snowy paradise of Nepal and is located 3842m above sea level in Dolakha district. Kalinchowk is a rural municipality, home to amazing scenery, cozy resorts on snowy hills, and the famous Kalinchowk Bhagwati Shrine.
Due to Kalinchowk’s religious and pilgrimage significance, most visitors go there. Kuri Village is located in the lovely valley that serves as the Kalinchowk temple’s basement and is directly beneath Kalinchowk hill. Kuri hamlet is renowned for its picturesque surroundings, which are especially lovely when it snows in the winter and are vibrant in the spring.In the spring, the hiking trails leading to Kalinchowk Hill resemble a garden with lush greenery and vibrant rhododendron plants.
For those who wish to enjoy winter snowfall and short hikes, Kalinchowk is the ideal option.
